thats the diagram ive been following, ive checked it dozens of times and it wired correctly,

now for starters, when i dissconnect the coil wire front the dist and hold it up againts something metal it will only spark when the key is turned forward and turned back, not during crank, so there for the dist wont spark at all, so once i fix that problem i can diagnose further, so what do u think the no spark problem is?

I know this is a bit late in the game to ask this question but.. Did you try to pull codes before you started this whole thing?

Did you replace the crank position sensor? Thats not part of the distributor you know... Check the shop manual for its location and how to test it :)

spec is .49-.73 ohms

from termial A to the post looking thing inside disty,
getting 26k ohms, spec is 20-31K ohms

last test was 12 volts to termial A at the 3 pin connecter, im getting nothing it suggest checking the MAIN fuse which is fine then the igntion switch the wiring harness,

Well you said it yourself.. everything is checking out ok.. so the next item on the list to check is the ignition switch right? Wouldnt be the first time one went south :)
