at my m8s house to show him he was the one who gave me the idea cos he has it on his car! and he actually said its not high enough... well thats his oppinion and he has a 1.6 nissan pulsar vzr n1 so 200 bhp as standard he needs his up high but his is only mildly higher than mine!

maybe not worth faq level! but maybe worth having as a stickey! or maybe faw for a quick solution to overheating engines

Is that a joke? If you like your car looking like a home depot special pile of crap then yes, do this mod, install gutter mesh in every possible hole, make a cold air intake out of PVC piping, cut a hole in your bumper for 'ram air', oh, and spray paint your rims.

If your engine overheats, this will not solve your problem. In the case of an overheating engine, there is a problem in the cooling system that needs to be addressed, not a raised hood.

your a right moodey fecker arent ya?

Fact is this is a prictical mod unlike pvc intake!
or meshing up your entire car!

this mod isnt to make your car look any better but to allow heat to flow out quicker! and is handy especially when i have seen people comment on the fact that the mx3 dosn't let hot air low out fast enough!

No, just a fecker that can apprecite fully-functional, tasteful, aesthetically pleasing modifications, unlike the one you have presented forth.

Yeah, and you can also fart on a first date, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

WTF?.... how is it not a good idea to paint rims....If you buy them...don't like the color but like the style save upwards of a grand and paint them Vs. buying new rims in a different color....

Definitely not a nob and definitely not an engine mod. Ricer mod, more like it.

its really funny watchin u guys fight lol. this mod makes your car look like crap and i will never do it even if my engine is melting, but it is a useful idea for someone who cares more about performance and doesnt mind their car looking a little bad for it. FAQ = frequently asked questions, while this mod is quite useful and very easy to complete, i honestly don't think ppl are frequently asking how do i raise my hood so the engine can cool down faster. BTW painting rims is not a bad idea, ive seen awesome painted rims.

Besides, the thermostat won't really let you run the engine cooler anyway. Just get a cooler thermostat if you want it to run cooler, even some water wetter. Could always get a better rad, or even a front bumper with a larger air intake to move more air across the radiator, or a hood with a functional scoop of some sort

I'm sure mod is just as useful at Homer Simpson's speed holes...
