Wrap around is the JDM wing, which was also on the GS models in Canada for 94-96

what is wrong with the RS stock spoiler? I think it looks far better than the normal GS one at least... to be honest i think the stock garnish looks better than the GS spoiler

I presume you are referring to the Mazda 'option' wing/spoiler that is designed to go on the RS (along with the (pre-existing on an RS) hatch garnish. I actually think that looks pretty decent, fits the lines of the car far better than most aftermarket wings. There's also a wing that Erebuni sells that looks very much like the mazda one for the RS. I think it's even on a clearance special. Erebuni Wing

But we are getting away from the original question. If the objective is to build a 'sleeper' then you IMHO want to go with the stock RS Hatch Garnish in place of any of the spoiler or wing options. It doesn't look bad (clearly many here prefer it even) and it's more 'sleeperish' than any kind of spoiler or wing.

I do like that wrap-around spoiler. are those available anywhere?, or do you have to search canadian junk yards for them?

I have heard you can get them from mazda direct.. probably spendy that way.. or you can get them from canadian junkyards. Get a vancouver postal code and watch Car-part.com for them ;)

Such a sick car, hope you don't mind Brandon.

While I happen to agree with you. That car is hardly a 'sleeper' in any case..

Please recall the original question for this thread.

In any event, arguing which is 'best' is like arguing what's the 'best' color, or any other thing where beauty is in the eye of the beholder, everyone is going to have their own idea of 'best', which is frankly good, as it means our rides don't end up looking identical.

Re: Sleeper idea, factory wing or no wing??

Yes do it.

LOL

This reminds me of a phrase I saw somewhere that said "Arguing on the internet is kinda like racing in the special olympics... even if you win.. your still retarded" LMAO Ok.. its not politically correct... but its still dang funny ;)

I went out to the local yard and only found the normal GS wing or the RS non-wing garnish. I took one of the non-RS garnishes off and found out two of the housing for the bolts were gone. I guess I will look at the others once it warms up a bit so the plastic doesn't break right away.

Wished I could've found the RS wing style, that is really cool looking. I'll let every known what I decide, though I will be keeping any stock things I delete.

that car pictured above...is this one...

If you can, try to get a wrap around... IMO it is the best one. But you will have to drill two extra holes in the hatch.

If you use the hatch garnish, I would recommend getting it painted to match the body colour..
