Ummm, thats RICH guys  the lower the number the richer it is.

Also i can tell u have the wrong ECU...u ahve STRAIGHT Neck KLZE VRIS points...thats what those 2 dips are for.

And yes your peak power is around 5600...which is a KLDE. Alot of people would buy a US Millenia engine and think its a KLZE, just cause it had the intake manifold on it.

Yeah the KL-31 and KL-36 are suppose to be the same ECU...just the KL-36 can be used on an ATX or MTX and the KL-31 can only be used on a MTX. (Thats what i read)

how did you confirm its a DE what do the head codes say.....what do the cams say???? and does it have an egr?????

going to pull off he head later today and check the codes, and it doesn't have egr

 you dont need to pull the head to check the head codes, they are in plain view. Just pop off the valve cover to check the cams, that should take ya not more that 10 minutes.

oh no, i'm checking everything lol, block code, cam codes and piston codes so I will be pulling a bit more than 10 minutes worth, going to do it now though will report back later today

You can check everything in about 15 minutes.. no need to look at the block code...it will say KL just like every other engine.

1) Look at head code center of the front head between the intake manifold and the front valve cover.

2) Pull the front valve cover and look at the cam codes.

3) Pull a spark plug out and shine a flash light in the hole and see if the piston is flat or dished.

Thats everything u can do to make sure its a DE or ZE....no need to pull anything apart.

grrr it's a de, dished pistons no 31 stamps anywhere grrr....

so what do you guys think of those numbers on my now DE

My K8 With a hair dryer blower will take it!!! ;) Looks about typical for a DE.. maybe even on the low side.. but that would be rectified by swapping in the correct ECU.
