There is a sensor 1ft in front of the line where u stage. Your reaction time is timed from when the light hits green til you hit that sensor. Then your 1/4 milr time is started when you cross that sensor.
So your reaction is not added to your 1/4 mile time.

I will second that.

Ok cool, that was the first time I had ever even been and I didn't really know a lot about it. Thanks for the explanation though.

There are two sensors,
Prestaged and Staged
when rolling up to the line you break the prestage beam first
so give you warning to slow / crawl till the staged light comes on.
The tree can be run in two formats
full staging where each light stage comes on indervidually
or
Pro tree where the red's all light followed by all the yellows then Green!
Pro tree is harder to race and easier to break out on. but makes for
faster elimination rounds.
Id like to say thats a nice number you ran and to Hec shut your cake hole
as you post a lot of moose poop and really at the end of the day just
cos you can't cut the mustard, does'nt mean no one else can.
( waits for a warning from barry )

i've put over 46000 kms on it
not a single knock or any other irregular sounds
its funny i had always thought a ZE and a DE were different engines
maybe thats why the factory rev limiter on a DE is only 7100 or 7200 rpm
why would the rev limiter be at 8000 stock if the can't even touch low to mid 7000 for a couple seconds

rev limiter on a de and ze are exactly the same, so this 7100 for a de is bull and ze ecu will still limit you at 7500

no an eprom chip....i had to desolder the chip from the ecu and solder in a new chip its like the brain for your ecu it controls the actual engine funtions
it makes it just like a kl31/36 ecu
