I took the turbo completely off and ran straight manifold and got no coolant to come out. I pressurized the coolant lines on the turbo and cant hear it leaking....maybe the turbo needs to be warm to leak??

SH*T!!!!! OOOOkay soooo i just came home and let the fan cycle TWICE and no coolant. I pressurized the turbo with 60psi of air. PLENTY of presure. HOW MUCH MOISTURE do you think is in an exhaust system???ariesdude wrote:Does that smoke machine pressurize the smoke? Maybe you can try hooking it up to a compressed air source (with the outlet plugged) and listen for any whistling sounds ......
Im thinking the engine needs to see the pressure of the turbo to leak? I am gonna put it allll back together again tonite WITH the turbo unhooked from the coolant and start from there.....ariesdude wrote:Maybe its one of those ghost in the machine problems - i guess all you can do now is to make sure all the fittings are ok and watch it closely - unless you have a spare turbo lying around ......
It could just be that one of the seals leaked some coolant and then got seated properly (due to the pressure/temperature) after some time.....
