I haven't cut any cables, no. Previous owner may have... But it's only at 6500 rpm at that speed so I'm assuming it's quite 'happy' at those speeds!?

I've achieved a top-speed of 213 km/h with my MX-3 (unmodified) in Germany on the highways :D

And my car doesn't show more than around 6 km/h wrong.

actually i don't think the k8 ECU has the speed limiter....it just takes longer to get there.

i KNOW the ZE one is at about 180km/hr cuz i'v hit it a couple times

jschrauwen wrote:-- Another viable alternative would be to acquire a K&N filter for the OEM airbox, improve upon the seal between the rad snorkel and the airbox joining point and you'll have in essance - a CAI. The factory already made one for us, so to speak. Improving on the filter in that airbox can do wonders. I used the same K&N filter for 9 years. Talk about saving $$$$ with improved performance. g/l

This is going to be my first engine mod.
First i want to take some times and speeds of my 100% stock K8-mx3
Then i will take it to the dyno.

Right after that, going to buy a K&N OEM filter, isolate the oem cai Mazda made with aluminum paper and some fiber work, and try to improve the joining points.
Then off to some air/fuel mix gauge, and maybe a Varipower
Then a nice free flow cat, and a universal HKS Carbon Ti back exhaust.
The off to the dyno again to see the diference
