alittle harsh there lakersfan...but I do agree...18's are huge. I mean if thats your thing sure, it just looks like a rim without rubber. Maybe its because were not used to seeing such a huge rim on mx-3 (not really common). Also, be aware that this is going to cost you alot more than if you got 16 or 17. Its gonna me more for the rim and tires, its going to be heavier, and if you hit any kind of larger bump (curb, rock w/e) the rim will bend, and you will be pooched.

My advice for you my friend? Put your money towards a lighter and smaller rim..you'll have a better ride, wont' worry about getting it recked, you'll have a faster car, and yes, it will look nicer...17 MAX..if not 16. anything smaller than 15.looks dumb...but you get the idea.

People were aking to see a picture of an mx3 on 18's so thats what you got...and as for the lowering...if you read my previous post it says thats what I plan to do and that I am searching for adjustable coilovers!
Duuude those are phat as hell. I love em...could use some lowerin, but those are just perfect. I think I might go with 18's as well :D

I honestly think 16s would look gay as crap...like, worse than what I got right now. I mean, they come stock with like 14s or somethin right, but you get some nice rims that are only 16"....that would be gay. AT LEAST 17s, more like 18s IMO.

I got 18s on mine, and I think it looks very nice.
Guess it depends on the rim.

Also, with 18s, it`s a must to lower, or it will look ridiculous with the large gap (because of the low profile tire).

Been driving on 18s for three years now, and had no problems at all.
You DONT get a flat with driving on some gravel...

I agree with nope, I have hit a few potholes and driven on gravel and has no issues at all. I am not sure why everyone hates on 18's, some people like a bigger rim, not everyone is out for performance, some are out for looks, and with the mx3's huge a-- fender wells they fill up well. Even with my car being lowered abit I can still get away with 215-40-18's. That being said, I am not going to buy 18's again though as I find they are too heavy and the ride is abit to rough in my neck of the woods. Girls seem to like em too :)

I also believe that 18's are nice, but, it does depend on the style of the rim, and, of course, it will not look right untill the car is lowered. I have 17" Enkei's on my RS and even though the ride feels a little bit stiffer, I'll take these 17"s over the stock 14"s I had any day.

:!: Nice rims and MX Pedro :!:
