carbon fiber or fiberglass it self is not flamible but the resin used in both is. If you look at any carbon fiber hood that has seen a lot of heat in an area will have brown spots from the resin starting to burn. A valve cover out of carbon fiber would be very hard to keep its shape and sealing good plus would cost alot.

most of those are painted to look like carbon fiber they are not real. Im not talking about hand paint or that sitcker crap. This is computer desgin and painted.
