Well I got her to pass, but just barely....

My mechanic "knew" a guy and went in with the car and well an hour later she passed.

I too believe that the converter was a problem point, and probably caused the final fail before the pass, but im not up for replacing it so this worked out!

In two years, before the next e-test i will replace the converter!

Thank you all for your time and effort!

MX Maximus; thanks for your email! Its pretty cool that we have this forum cause without it I would be LOST!!!

Many thank you's ! :D :D :D

oh oh ..........

I have to have my test done by April .... she has black on the outside of the exhaust pipe (hoping that it's from being too rich) also some white smoke coming out too

I can see it now

I still have to have that timing belt changed (yes it's not done yet John) and I need new rims and wheels

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Well I better get things checked out before dooms day

Haaha Deb,

Lousy e test! All i can say: o2 sensors, plugs, wires, oil change, and well probably a cat converter......to start:( Also if u think your EGR is shoddy then take it out and clean it with break cleaner, i have a buddy who is friends with a guy at the mazda dealer, who says that replacing it is usually not necessary, and that a cleaning with break cleaner is all it takes!
