booerns. Were did you the KLZE from? Sucks that is a bad one...i'm sure you put alot of work into getting one and installing it. And it sucks. O well, maybe you can sell it on ebay and get antoher. O well man, hopefully you might be able to fix it.

i got mine from EngineLand in Montreal. I was talking with the guy who had a KLZE Probe in my other club, and he's hear nothing but bad things about their engines...the reason i went with them cause Lazzyie, the guy who we all used to get our ZE ECU's from, recommended them.

No worries, this one is still more than drivable, it just needs a little TLC. I wanted to do a second engine will all-motor mods anyway, so once i get my mtx done, and do a few more mods on this engine to max that's left of it's potential, i'll probably start working on that...

i think its the dyno you used....try somewhere else. All you are low for ze's and I just heard that oscar olny dyno'd at 166whp with a turbo ze. They all seem underated a fair bit here.

nope 165whp and 191 torque. I would say the dyno is a bit off also what gear do every one pull in?

Not entirely sure but I think we all pulled in 4th....but could be wrong. Might go with Krish to another Dyno and see what I get.

I sware i saw 191whp..Probably got the Tq and hp mixed up though. But 165 doesn't make any sense at all. gain like 10whp with 6psi ? that's not right at all

Ya was most dissapointed with the numbers.

You sure Oscar's dyno numbers aren't just from a small turbo? With his high torque, that would be my guess, but then again, I don't know much about FI either.

All of our pulls were in 4th

All of you who like to benchrace about these supposedly "weak" KLZEs are forgetting something:

THEY WERE BUILT IN JAPAN BY ROBOTS. plain and simple, there shouldn't be much variation in the specific output except in a few simple ways:

1. Maintainance over the lifetime of the donor car. I dunno about japan but most US drivers are 50/50 when it comes to basic car maint. When I buy a motor, the first thing that comes off is the valve cover and I check for sludge. Sludge=no purchase

2. Current State of Tune: simple tune up, induction and injection cleaning, and a final motor cleaning should be SOP for any used engine.

Please try the following 3 things after a full tune-up:

1. Auto-RX engine cleaning. http://www.auto-rx.com it works, nuff said
2. seafoam induction cleaning (decarbonizing intake path)
3. Redline SI-2 or Chevron Techron full strength

See if you can't get more power out of these supposedly "weak" engines that were 60% built by robots in Japan

Krish, Uday and Ian, I don't see any of your sheets or print-outs. What were you's guy's results?

After looking at your dyno again, Why does your car peak out at 5500 RPM?? That doesn't seem right.

Also all your guys dyno's are really jumpy...something isn't right with that machine.

My friend dyno'd his Straight neck ZE in his probe with intake, header, no cat, catback and he was pulling about ~161 WHP and his compression numbers are ~210 on all 6 cylinders. Also his peak HP was close to 6700 RPMS

My other friend dyno's his Curve neck ZE OBD-II intake, headers, catback and he was pulling about ~155 WHP and i am no sure on his compression numbers. Also his peak HP was right around 6500 RPMS

My other friend had a Probe GT KL-03 and he had intake, no cat, catback and he dyno'd ~145 WHP and i am not sure on his compression numbers. And his peak HP was i believe around 5500 RPMs
