Aaron expects about 200 wheel HP, but no dyno yet. Actually we talked tonight and he told me that is not your motor Chanko. It died a roaring boosted life and lasted for 8 days. A fitting end to a good motor that was past its prime.
I'd say he spent about 1000 on the motor and turbo set-up. However, don't expect to get quite that price. Aaron is farily well connected and knows a good bit about what he is doing. All the work was done by him except the piping and that was done at a steal of a price. All the turbo parts are from stock turbo cars. I think he runs a Volvo turbo, DSM BOV, I'm not sure on the boost controller, and a RX-7 intercooler, stock K8 injectors on a Millinea manifold, stock K8 computer.
He plans for a fuel controller (runs darn well without one though) and a few other minor things soon.
Really impressive for a K8, huh...

Ill lsay it but he might kill me for doin it. but the piping/downpipe/IC setup etc was done for 200$ last year, wihch was a killer deal. But we know a real good welder who will do anything u want as long as its do able.
K8
Millenia manifold
Sotck injectors (had millenia S injectors but they made the car run crazy rich b/c the rear o2 sensor is non existent )
KLZE ECU
Starion Turbo
FPR
MSD box
RX7 TII IC (had the end tanks modified)
dsm BOV
ZE VAF
RX7/3000GT Fuel pump (both the same product #)
hopefully if thisone lasts long enough to make it too the dyno.. its holding up pretty good so far. the record was a month and a half with the DE w/ ze heads.
form my experience with driving and riding in it, modded NA ZE would get left by a K8T, but its not really a suprise. its just whatever u want to do.

IMO he would probably get better results with the stock intake manifold, or port matching the k8 heads.
what's he runnin for fuel management ? for upping the fuel pressure with boost?

HE told me that , the car ran lean with the K8 manifold, and with the Millenia Manifold it isnt leanin out.
corrections:
KLze injectors
and he told me he wasnt gonna port match, and it prob wouldnt help much. He has ze heads/cams etc just not installed....sooo more to come in the future! and he told em to say "dont be affraid to boost the k8"...

NOOOO!!!. . .

..it had the most beautiful heat shields in the world
I feel like my pet just died or something. But if you have to go, KIA by turbo is the way to go.

Its been proven...ive seen it myself. Along with the ZE ECU/INjectors the millenia manifold did the trick. Its @ 12psi now still running strong. And hes using the MX6 tranny also.
