I just got back from vacation last night and decided to start my car for the first time in three weeks and when I started it the shifter shook like crazy. As the engine warmed up it stopped and I took it for a spin and it everything was good? Maybe just because it sat so long or maybe needs new mounts? not sure :?:

It's probably because it sat so long. It was probably idling really rough, causing your shifter to shake a lot. The motor mounts will make the car feel like it's jerking when you shift or let off the gas. The motor will move around with the change in rpms causing the car to shake or jerk if the mounts are broken. Easiest way to check without getting under the car is to let the car idle, open the hood and press down on your throttle. If there is a lot of movement with the engine, a mount might be torn or broken.
