well sometimes you can clearly see theres no traffic, so why stop? also that puts wear on brakes/fuel economy

wow hey thanks guys. Ok and about the wrong liscence plate thing, and them thinking I coudl be driving someboyd elses car, they can't accuse me of driving someboyd elses car because there IS no Toyota Tercel that exist with the lisecne plate on my corrola. Anyway, aobut the court date changing, i dont' think i'll try it. I'll have to do 30 hours of community service, or pay it. I'm phone up the provincial court house and see what they say about the mis info. Man 16 year olds should so NOT have to pay tickets...damnit... o well thanks again guys, i'll keep you poested.

It shouldn't matter if you're 16 or 60. If you're old enough to drive a car, you should be responsible enough to follow traffic laws. It's called being an adult and accepting the consequences of you actions. You should be ticketed if you fail to drive properly.
Stop signs aren't a suggestion. Ask the guy that hit me when he decided he'd rather not wear down his brakes out or waste gas but instead ram me in the side...
Albeit, $220 is rather exoribitant for a ticket, it may be that much because of the area you were in (residential), speed you were going, business of intersection, or even just the mood of the officer.

Well the next person to get a ticket try this one out on the cop when he asks you "why did you run that stop sign? Well there was no traffic so why stop?
Who wants to be the first to try it out???

I meant that 16 year olds shouldn't get em cuz of the finacial aspect. And I am one of the better drivers I know, and I do follow the traffic laws, expet this one obviousely.

I know they aren't a suggestion. But this peticular stop sign was in a new undevelopped area, and a better choice would of been a yeild sign. Now I didn't outright run this sign. I meen it was obviouse that it was clear (there were no buidling and minimal land scape) I slowed down to 10km, a truck passed in front of me, and I looked it was clear, and turned left. There was no need in hell to stop. But I'll stop from now on, cuz I dont' feel like loosing another 220 bucks and more points. OH and Meep, you sure didnt' answere my question. But thanks for trying.
