To retain the use of your stock speedo in the dash you will have to get
the LSD machined to fit a speedo bevel gear, the locating notches are
already casted into the LSD.

Note there are two different speedo bevel gears for the different final
drive ring gear.

Having split the ring gear off the old diff, the weakness of the rivets is
caused by a spacer plate between the ring gear and the Diff housing
itself. the rivets are just mild steel as well.

The rivets themselves are 11mm diameter so 12mm or 0.5" bolts are
the size that can be used, Ive line reamed the diff and spacer and ring
gear and are using 0.5 A/C bolts that have been frozen then pressed
home to get a " body bound" fit and then locked up with A/C nuts that
are in turn locked wired as well..

( Nuke proof ) bullet proof is for pussies .......

The axles spline count, this is something of a mystery, it seems all
north american MX3's have the correct axles for use with this Diff.

Im using axles from a JDM MX6, which i will note are 1mm bigger than
my stock MX3 ones at 25mm, which seems to be bigger than the NA ones
that seen to be 22mm

( watch every one start measuring and the Correcting post's come out )

My mod to the bell housing so a steel plate is between the motor and
gearbox, which picks up the rear mount and spreads the load is in use
in another car at the moment and yea it sems to be working very well.
