G25M-R (G-series for short)

Get one out of a Escort GT. Your 626LX idea is the first I've ever heard of it...I wouldn't chance it.

Escort GT's had the G-series tranny as well as Protege GT's.

yea wasnt it the old 626's that came turbo. i heard from someone those trannies could be used, but not sure.

You sure, I though these were just rumors. I know they they are suppose to go over the e-test system, and I keep hearing these rumors, but I haven't heard anything official from the Gov't
