John,

I believe you do NOT want to polish the inside of an IM, rough is better for atomization and would minimize fuel pooling, i thought the same thing, when i installed a Edelbrock Performer IM on my Trans Am i t was really rough inside prob rougher than the outside.

A asked the same question and the guy i bought it from said "Dont Bother".

As for the powder coating in Crome, im interested in this as well, i have a curved neck IM that i have taken absolutly all the casting ribs and ridges off and smoothed all 6 runners (the whole runners not just the tops) out with 220. It took sooo many hours and i still have to do it all over again with 600, 800 then 1000. :shock:

More info on this would be greatly appreciated
