hey np. I am not 100% sure though it will work fine. I will be testing everything once the MSD 6A comes here. damn shipping to Canada. It takes so much time.

did you end up using the msd tach adapter ? I'm wondering if you use this if you still need the 1k resistor

ok I got the thing started today..works great except wacky tach after 5k
right now I'm using klze (7 nipple) disty (reallllly clean install btw), msd 6a, blaster 2 coil and transistor (tip3055) didn't use thhe hei module because I felt like I didn't need it. I'll post the correct info soon

I've been in the wacky tach boat for a couple of years since I installed my crane cams with klze distributor and external coil. My tach drops to 0 after around 5000 rpm when floored. If its not floored it will climb higher.

I tried diff things with the resistor, but it still did it. I am no electrical smart guy though.

So keep us posted on the tach adapter.

Thanks

I mentioned it on the first page but I will again, I had the same problem with the tach cutting out at 5k until I soldered my tach resistor in - but I'm guessing you soldered everything anyways.
