Re: like a lower rear lip spoiler

Barry, I like it but my opinion is this: it should go lower around the sides where it slopes down. a rear lip that would go low enough on the sides to match FX sides and stuff would be very awesome.

This is what I think would look kinda cool: take the newer rear bumper that pakfeifer made and cut away much of the rear center section and create a smooth slope (perhaps that isn't the right way to put it, but i mean some sort of good transition) from center to side (on each side obviously).

if you can imagine it the way i imagine it i think it would look awesome. of course, you wouldn't want to literally do this, but if someone made a rear lip (or bumper even) that looked kinda like that, i'd jump all over it. i hope i explained my idea well enough

Brought back from the dead! I'm working on an idea for this starting with a set of rear muds. If the mud would get a little more shallow in the j/y's here, i'd have the rest of my parts. I am planning on cutting the bottom of a bumper off and molding it to the rear muds. Before I get to the junk yard, I will try this with my left over escort bumpers. Pics within a few weeks

Packfiefer has a nice rear lip that I ordered last week. Do a search for "Precidian's" MX. Very tastefull.

tasteful, but a little low for my liking... i don't want to have to worry about scraping... the thing hangs a good few inches below the exhaust tips, and that doesn't sit well with me (although my concerns may be unfounded and their may be more than enough room for clearance, IDK)

i have the erebuni rear on order.... it's a funny story about how i actually got a close up look at it in person (that's for another post i guess), but it's definitely a great alternative for those who want a modified rear... i'll post pics of it when i get it if anyone's interested... it almost looks like stock except that it has a cut-out in the middle, and the bottom of the bumper has the "rear lip" look you guys are talking about, because of the way it's shaped and the line that goes across the bottom horizontally... u just need to see it in order to understand what i mean... a picture's worth a thousand words i guess.....

but the erebuni rear is definitely very tasteful and classic, while still giving the car that "modified" look

haha, still muddling over what type of custom rear mud guard mod u wanna go through with? (i'm referring to how before u mentioned in another one of my posts that you had a plan for something custom, or at least i think that was you)

to answer your question... i'm not sure yet, cuz i haven't received the bumper yet.... but the interesting thing is that i was thinking the same exact thing as you, cuz i just bought rear mud guards about 2 or 3 months ago.... but even if they don't "fit" i'm gonna make 'em fit  :welder: i'll let you know as soon as i get the bumper though... and if i can make these bad boys fit, i'm still considering molding the rear mud guards to the bumper....don't wanna jinx myself or anything and find out that it won't fit at all, but i think it's all gonna end up lookin' reeeeeaaaaaaaal nice... well, hopefully anyway
