so do I, they all use the same pump. The I4 and the V6 mx-3 use the same pump too, its like a 108 psi pump, I've swaped my I4's and my V6's out just to see. Both are '93s so I don't know it the years have different pumps or not.

Where did you purchase it from?
I just found a guy on the V6 Performance Forum that has the same problem.
Check it out.

Well, we'll see. I'm not even sure it's the fuel pump in the first place. Seems like I'm getting good fuel delivery. I'd like to borrow a distributor from someone since I can't really afford to get a new one again just to find out that it's not the problem.

Looks like I found something. It's not the fuel pump at all. There's a weak connection or short inside my distributor. I'm going to take it to work tomorrow and see if I can fix it. I hope it's just a dirty connection or maybe lack of solder or something... We'll see...

Well, that didn't fix anything. It looks like it's something with the internal ignitor. I either find a replacement Distributor somewhere, park the car until I can afford a ZE Swap, or sell it as is.

Mine is pretty similar after the engine has warmed up, and it only started two weeks ago. On cold starts the engine is ok as the thermostat takes over but as soon as it warms up it starts to bogg down on those 1700 - 2300 rpm ranges when you release the gas pedal. Afterwhich, idling is very unstable until the engine stalls.
To keep it from stalling for now, my mechanic adjusted the fuel flow yesterday but the bogg down is still there. He said there is probably a vacuum leak and he will check it when he has the time. Will update once done.

Mine isn't exactly like that. I could rev it at 6000RPM and it would still cut out. We tried pulling the car the other day and put in into gear. Normally it would run but the tachometer measured 0 @ 80km/h in 5th gear. This leads me to think that since the tach is powered by the distributor, something must be shutting off my distributor. I've already pulled half the engine apart in trying to diagnose this. I still have to check the voltages and resistances of some of the sensors and relays. I can't afford to spend anymore $$$$. I'm flat broke now because of this car.

MOre and more I think this is your disty. Stop wasting your time, try a proven disty in there first.

I think so too. I'll have to wait until I come across one. Lack of $$$ is stopping me from getting a new one. I might as well just try and save up $900 and get a ZE.

Dude, I would ship you mine if my ride would not be a daily driver :( There must be some Calgarians that are willing to give you a quick visit to just swap distys for a minute. C'mon people.

James, you still need a good disty with a ZE.... When I got mine from Mazda Dealer they qoted me a different price for Mx-3 vs. Mx-6 by $300 citing different part# on the computer. Mx-6 one was cheaper. I had to pre-pey and pre-order it without any chance of returning it back as they told me. I went back to prove them wrong.

You could always get just an igniter module alone, but it is $200 or so anyway.
