what i dont understand is why people here make such a deal out of it. if you don't want street racing commming up its kinda funny how we have a 4 and 6 clyn performance section and a forced induction section. one of my friends pointed it out to me when i asked him to get some info off the board. everyone has raced at some point in there life, and will continue to do so. if its once or year or everytime you go to the store. yes it is dangerous and stupid but i bet alot of you people do things equaly stupid like smoking, drinking or drugging. i mean you know smoking cigs will give you cancer and other health related problems but you still do it. im not one to judge but i mean it seems like alot of people here are quick to cast judgement on someone for what they enjoy. if some kid wants to share his street racing story i dont see the big problem with it. jeff says no simply because he doesn't like and it and has negative views on the subject. ignoring it and deleting topics about street racing won't make it go away. i know a couple of people with mx-3's that dont come on this board anymore or wont even join simply because of views like this. "since i dont like it i wont accept it" , but i though this site was about an mx-3 community and sharing what we know and what we do...and personally i find drag racing boring, its all about that road racing baby!! <img src="http://florida3si.com/vBulletin/smilies/rally.gif" alt=" - " />

First off, i dont like how "street racers" are automaticly considered 16-18 years old.
Second, dont blame Jeff on how this topic isnt allowed on the mx3 ubb, its illegal and he wishes to have no part in it, if Jeff deletes your post go rock up your cocaine in someone else's basement.
Third, I doubt you were playing by the rules when you "passed" this car and got your ticket, maybe if you werent spending your money on fines for screwing around you might be able to buy those aftermarket parts you've been wanting!
You Know Who You Are.

2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege - Sold
1994 MX-3 RS - Selling
Searching for a new performance car to buy, cant decide.

Ugh this is one of those hot topic things.. GEtting my word in before this thread get duced. Street racing is illegal and i imagine the forum just dosnt want to have any part in supporting a illegal activity. Which i consider a very profesional and intelegent mind set.

Me as a person i have a lot of time on the track. ITs a blast i love it, im hooked. I also have about the same amount of time doing street racing too. I do have to say though there are a lot of stupid people who do bad things that make some things worse than they are. I love the thrill of driving, do i race on a crowded street, residentail area, or anythign other than a vacant highway or similar high flow traffic area at 2 am in the mornin.. nope.

peace i am drunk i really want some pretzels right now and am sure i will laugh when i read this later

Hmm..Seems like there are a lot of people here who do street race ;) ..I gues Jeff may want to allow us to talk about it?
Also U r that much more careful when u r going 70mph in a school zone if some kid thiks he has a sweet civic that can rock you. Also I dont want to hit a car or pedestrian and damage my car, thats why i street race sensibly. There is a huge buz of street racing, and its a lot better than driving high or drunk.
Anyways I am 20 FYI.
I think street racing should be legalized!!

you think Street Racing should be LEGALIZED?
while we're at it lets legalize Murder and Arson

Street Racing Kills Innocent people who are not involved do not wish to be involved and just happen to be where you are racing.

If an accident happens at the track that for some reason happens to take out an Innocent bystander well at least they wanted to be at the track where as if you run over granny at the crosswalk who HATES all forms of cars and racing. She didn't want to be there watching you.

and if your taking your car up to 200Km'h on the street then there is DEFINITELY something wrong thats twice the limit on the highway and your doing this off a set of lights on the Street!

Please, close that topic..

It is going nowhere..

There is LEGAL reason why street race is not talked here. So please, respect that.

This has gotta be the dumbest post ever...

The rules are there. The rules have been there the entire time i've been a member of this board. They WILL NOT change whether you think its right or wrong. Like Guy said there are millions of other boards in which you can talk about street racing all you want. So if you'd like to discuss racing your lighting fast stock mx-3 gs, take the discussion elsewhere. If you have questions, answers, or comments that someone else can benefit from... post it here. Many people fail to realize that this board isnt up for general discussion. It was made as yet another resource for help with your cars. Its made by Jeff, paid for by Jeff with the help of his primary contributors... so they always will have the final say it what is acceptable.

on November 28, 2001 in Toronto, a street race killed a pedestrian. At 1:30 in the afternoon two seventeen-year-olds were racing east on Ellesmere Avenue in Scarborough in a Ford Explorer and a Mazda MX-3. The Explorer went out of control after bumping the Mazda, mounted the sidewalk and slammed into Steven Francisco, 18, before coming to rest on its roof.

The high school student had been walking listening to music on his Walkman and never heard the truck coming. Francisco was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the two cars were unhurt and both were charged with criminal negligence causing death.

A clip from http://www.fazeteen.com/spring2002/streetracing.htm

this like this are why we do not allow such crap on this board. Yes people do it, its wrong, and will continue. But dont advertise, we dont care.
