Yeah, and I'm happy that you're happy with your choice. Just saying that if you think the Dunlops have "lots of grip", then you'd love some of the other tires I mentioned.
Not bad-mouthing the Dunlops at all...

Gotcha

Not on my car, but on my dad's Grand Am GT, we put 225 50R16 Khumo Ecsta Supra 712's on it, and they hold the road really good, wet or dry. Even though we won't come anywhere near their limit, they are ZR rated too. They are an amazing tire for the money (we paid under $200 CDN for each), the only drawback being a relitively short life.

Ferrari oem tyres are PIRELLI P-ZERO RED asymmetric.
I don't like those semi-slick tyres... and have Bridgestone Potenza on my 15". But Bridg. are the HEAVIEST tyres you can ever buy... they have a metal belt inside, and they're expensive.
As soon as I put on my 17" I'll go straight with Toyo Proxes T1-S, best compromise, IMHO.

They have a HORRID reliability reputation, with MANY people experiencing blow-outs for no apparent reason. Not only that, they don't grip for crap either.

hey i have the kumho ecsta supras on my car w/16" rims. as these tires were on the car when i bought them i have nothing to compare them to. are these good tires, i was thinking i would go with the same kind when i had to get new ones. BTW: do not use these in the winter. these things do not grip snow at all.

its odd. the nitto 450's have a varrience of opinions. ive drivin with them like i said and i love them. compared to stock tires on a gsr. perhaps a bad batch came out(like firestones problem) so hopefully they got it fixed. its either those, the neo-gens or the 555extreme(not the drag radials)

However, after 2 blowouts with NT-450s, I'll never buy Nitto again. That's just me.

ANd to the other guy, Kumho Ecsta Supras are fine. A basic high performance tire. Good all-around.

I agree with the Kumho 712's. They are a great deal. Also, if you are really really on a budget, and want a low-pro tire, try the Kumho 711's. They are not really a performance tire, more like a passenger tire. But you can find them for about $50-$60 each, and they are great if you don't do a lot of high speed cornering or anything like that. As was said before, these suck in snow, so don't even try it or you will end up in a ditch.
