damn my dropzones were set to the lowest setting and they only went down like 1.7"-1.8".

protege and zyt, have you ever blown your struts because of having too much of a drop of using them with springs that have been too stiff? OR are you just saying that because you think that will happen? I have tried using stock struts on over a 3 inch drop and it has worked for over 6 months now.
Combat kit, Spectra blue paint, shaved, Black ADR flite 4 17's/ Yokahama ES 100's, straight through 2.5 inch cat back exhaust, CAI, Straight neck IM KLZE, poly filled motor mounts, Kl48/ Eprom chip, black altezzas, Wet Zex 75 shot, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Cosmo AFPR, GS SE all black interior, RF 1kbd amp, RF 12 HE2's (2), US acoustics 4 channel amp

My RS has a 2" drop on OEM struts, been that way for 4 years. Rides like any lowered car would The struts are fine. Probably could use replacing, but they work fine.

protegests and zyt really really know their stuff, yet some people have had a low drop with oem struts for a while.. even years. i guess only time will tell.. and i think it depends on your setup.. maybe the ST springs have a different spring rate than the cheap ebay items. in that case, both barry and protege/zyt would be right. if our dropzone coilover springrates are what'll cause the struts to blow, then that's it.<p>[ March 11, 2003: Message edited by: marshmallow15 ]</p>
