yeah after reading maximum boost and looking at the compressor map for the t4e "60" it's seem the best for my application...you forgot somthing..it all depends of how many psi you wanna run too...to get you pressure ratio you need to know to psi you want to run...so again it could be different from somebody to anotherOriginally posted by goldy1:
well if you have a 2.5 a good turbo for it is either a t3/t4e with the turbine a .83 amd the t4e compressor houseing and wheel a .60. our engines need 40 lbs/hr t t3 super 60 bareley puts out over 20. i know alot of people are running t3's. but my bet with them is that they spool up really fast and flatten out really fast too. a t4e compressor goes up to around 45 lbs/hr so its a good one for us. and the turbine side we dont want it to spool too fast or we wont have traction at all. so and .83 would put it about right for us.

Boost pressure in PSI isn't what you completely go by. I can take a T88 at say 5psi to out flow and out power little t3 pushing 40psi. These are additional things to look at. Copressor efficency on a compressor map. Yes the T3/TO4E 60 trim would be a good turbo. But if you look at the Garrett GT-series turbos you'll see they would work even better! They are wide compressor efficency range and FAST spool up with the dual ball bearing center section which allows you to run a larger exhaust housing for more power and response. I paid under $1000 for my GT-32 INCLUDING having the exhaust housing ceramic coated.

Re: turbo specs Q
yes maybe...but t3t4 are way cheaper than any gt turbo and they do more than the job...maybe they are oldschool but they are still good turbosOriginally posted by JWMotorsports:
