mx32.jpg[/IMG] r33 front with vents (most r33 bumpers come with those two square things)

<img src="http://www.atlantamx3.com/misc/marshmallow15/mx323.jpg" alt=" - " /> same bumper w/o the vents. imo looks better

<img src="http://www.atlantamx3.com/misc/marshmallow15/rx7.jpg" alt=" - " /> an rx-7 bumper (i believe it is the knights sports style which i couldn't find anywhere being sold)

sorry they aren't as clean psp jobs but you get the basic idea of the look.

hey those look great, and now i have a better idea of what im lookin at for my end result. the whole reason im doing this, is because i like non chalant, low profile looks. these front ends that are made for us... are to much i think. thats what i like about the R34 is that it stylish, yet its not loud and makes you think rice. which is odd cause when i register again next year.... i want plates that say EATRICE. so im pretty sure i got this down packed...

tinfoil layer on upper mx front, 1 layer of fiberglass over it. remove the tinfoil, paint a layer of gel coat on the INSIDE of the fiberglass, add 3-4 layers. sand the front to smooth it out. trim the top of the neon front and line it up with the mx copy. then, fiberglass the inside of the nose... im guessing 3-4 layers about 2.5-3 inches wide covering the gap. do the same on the front but use 2 layers. sand the front down to smooth it, bondo any pits and edges, sand. test fit to car, then paint, then apply to car.

that sound right? i think i got it finally... :froggie_red:

yea that sounds about right, except for the gel coat part. not really needed for a task like this.

its pretty simple when you prepare yourself mentally. you'll also be doing a lot of trial and error, fiberglassing together, test fitting, maybe even mounting and try driving with the new bumper and see if its driveable. pretty simple stuff to do which a lot of ppl don't know.. just very long and tedious process that gives you a great work out.
