ok so i must have this still hooked up wrong because both 2.5 and 1.8 say to do go into that solenoid

The item you asked "What is this" is used to adjust the fuel pressure. The selenoid will adjust the pressure from 37 at idle I think to 42 .

So if you leave the vacuum line unplugged to the pressure regulator, it should run at 42.

Your response of "i have no egr and as the computer wont see the sensors anyway they are not connected" was that a response to my suggestion about the vaf?

no its just to say that anything that says egr on the diagrams i can not connect into as im not using egr

ok so if i dont use the solenoid where its soposed to be ran to will that cause non-idle?

Dont know the answer to that, I have only run the car with the selenoid hooked up.

Just hook up the selenoid and find out, if you have it laying around somewhere.

do you have it hooked like it is on the 2.5 diagram or the 1.8? on the 1.8 it T squares before it goes into the silenoid im not really sure where that 2nd line goes to but im sure its probably the EGR now i just have to figure where the vacum line from teh CAI goes to now. i believe it goes to the egr as well but since im not running egr im not sure where it goes now, ill try running it back into the IM

Yes, my line is split, as illustrated on the 1.8 diagram. One line is running to the egr. But I am running a ze ecu, so my egr is not functioning either.

so really you dont need to split

I would imagine that is correct about not having to have my line split.

But I left the egr all hooked up since I was running a North American Intake manifold along with the 1.8 ecu before switching to the ze manifold and ecu.

On yours, I would try unplugging the vacuum line that goes into the fuel pressure regulator, and capping the spot on the manifold where you had the line going to the regulator, and see if that works.

That purple line you have, I think that should be hooked up like in the diagram, to the purge control selenoid and the charcoal canister, not to the cai.

ok so i looked around some more today and found out one of my connectors are unplug, i found the plug that actually plugs into the plug i just dont know where it plugs in at. its not your typical solenoid plug in, its big and gray and is orange on the inside with 3 prongs, anyone have an idea where in the hell this goes to?

Sounds like one of the EGR plugs. Good thing you started this thread. I've been trying just to get my car STARTED with the new intake manifold on. I'm not getting any error codes, so I'm guessing it's vacuum leak. I think it might be the Permatex #2 on the phenolics. I'm hoping that's it, so I'm gonna take all the Permatex #2 off and try the copper spray gasket sealer. On Probetalk archives, someone said he had better luck with the spray than the Permatex #2.

I specially like that part

anyways I took a peak under my hood looking for that mysterious 3 wire grey connector and couldn't find it..the only grey pins i saw were for the fuel rails..and I didn't find any 3pins connectors BUT my egr connection is a 3 pins (can't find the plug) but isn't connected so I'm assuming the plug you are refering to (the one I can't find)
is for egr
