I ran the 1.8l ecu + 2.5l vaf for a 14.5

the 1.8l ecu + 1.8l vaf for a 14.9
and the ze ecu + 1.8l vaf for a 14.0
If that matters

To answer nd4spdse
it seems that the klze engine does run with the 1.8 vaf (je50- the same part number as the jspec) but, only when you use the ze ecu. The 2.5 ecu (which I have) does not play nicely with the 1.8 vaf. It work very well with the 2.5 vaf (kl02) though. I've also been told that the 1.8 ecu and the 1.8 vaf also work good with the ze engine.

you need to run the kl36 ecu for the klze and the 1.8 vaf (je50) i believe you can get an ecu from sean mathews from streetimports.com. better yet give him a call and you can find out for certain.

You know aaron, thats what I thought. People kept telling me to keep my k8 ecu and je50 vaf...but I heard that it still produces rich conditions...which can't be considered good.

Paul runs a 1.8L Ecu and a 2.5L VAF. Runs just fine.

okay, my first tank is done. I reset the counter when I filled it first, and when I refilled I wrote down the km and how many litres I put in, then converted it to mpg. 410 km. 39.5 litres of gas. Roughly it averaged to 25 mpg. So, thats a 8-9 mpg improvement over the 16-17 mpg i was getting with the other setup. This is with 90% highway driving.
