Re: Speed Limiter
240km/h isn't really that fast....let's not forget the diff. between mph and kph here people...
And i dont think the supercharged 2.5L would make him get a higher top speed, it would just help him get there quicker
------------------
~'94 GS

(I think) On most cars you can't get 40 kms higher than the stock rating with limited mods.
But if you did, props to ya!

------------------
Marc 93MX3RS

Re: Speed Limiter
I've hit 230 kph in my 93 GS. (approx. 130+mph). I had a K@N filter, Pacesetter cat-back exhaust, Ractive front strut brace (which has nothing to do with top speed) at the time. But I did it no problem, wasn't in the red yet. Plus, are you people sure about the rev limiter ??I've never hit it before and I've been in the red LOTS of time.
Suspension Techniques lowering kit, front and rear strut braces, Ractive cold air intake, 16" wheels with 215/40's, full cat back custom Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust. Custom Competion stereo, full interior purple neon lighting.

Re: Speed Limiter
Fuel cut is at about 7800-7900 for me.
I've got mine up to 131mph indicated with 195/60/15's, which, when coupled with the stock speedo's inaccuracy at those speeds, is likely 130 or so. With a K8, your top speed is drag limited. With a KL, your top speed will be gear limited. But why do you need to go 130+ anyways? I'd rather top out at 110 and get there alot quicker than top out at 150 and have taller gearing. Of course, I did just swap in a 4.11 gearbox...
(shrug)
------------------
David Coleman- Moderator
1993 Mazda MX-3 GS Special Edition
V6 engine info | KL FAQ | ECU reprogramming | K series Image cache | Probetalk Archive Search
