As far as the name of the car goes, we don't call them mx-3 over in Japan. I went back to Japan a couple of years ago, and saw Eunos presson and AZ-3. I live in Hiroshima and it's a mazda town (mazda has their headquarter in hiroshima). I belive there are more mazdas there than any other places, and most people (including me) like mazda.
My family drives just mazda (only my dad could drive cars), and my impression about Eunos and autozam are, usually, Eunos sells expensive side of the cars like 929 (we call them Sentia in Japan). It seems like autozam sells the less expensive ones like Demio, etc.. If you like, I can go to their web site (likely written in Japanese), and see or ask them the difference.
bungo

I noticed no-one in Australia had posted a reply so I thought I would clear it up down under..
All models are called Eunos 30-x here.. They came standard with Elect Sunroof/ABS/Air cond full elect windows and mirrors/ CD. The only option I have seen is leather interior.
They were also rarely sold from Mazda- There were factory Eunos Depots opened to sell Eunos- your typicall mazda dealer here does not have the diagnostic computers to completely service your mazda.. eg when my ABS light came on they could not connect to find out why.. hence globe was removed. There are still some designated eunos dealers.

The Presso and AZ-3 were intended for the japanese market but were exported on a large scale to New Zealand. Some have found there way to Great Britain and Ireland, The Middle East, Russia and the Carribean.
The Autozam AZ-3 began production in 1991 with the 1.5 16 valve DOHC engine. In 1993 the was 1.8 V6 24 valve DOHC also used in the Autozam AZ-3 with both models being produced at same time.
The Eunos Presso was available in 1993 with the and the 1.8 V6 24 valve DOHC and the 1.5 16 valve DOHC engine.
In both the Presso and the AZ-3 the 1.6 litre versions were never produced.
V6 MX-3, Black, 17" gunmetal chromes with 205/40/17.
Now gone: Autozam AZ-3(Jap spec MX-3). 91, 1498cc DOHC 120bhp as standard. Manual, A.C, 17" black chromes with 205/40/17. Stainless Steel Exhaust,Pipercross Filter, Eco-tek valve, Strut brace, Racing steering wheel.

Not true I'm afraid. I have a genuine UK spec 1992 MX-3 V6, and it's RHD. The UK spec MX-3s all got the front lip spoiler, side skirts and rear spoiler (Even the 1.6s). Also the all got ABS as standard.

Also, note the different shape licence plate apperture in the bumper. That's how you can spot a UK car. All the imports in the UK have the square apperture like the US models.

i may be wrong, but i believe the AZ3 just has a sticker...., besides, AZ3's were called Autozam AZ3 not Efini, and only came with the 4cyl, what you really want is Eunos badging!
Eunos was Mazdas attempt at building an upmarket brand (like Lexus)....., like most of the things Mazda did at the time, it was half-assed and doomed to failure!

True, the AZ-3 is a sticker....I have one and was going to put it on. I may use it in another location for the car.
