Relocating battery into trunk....any danger?

i've had my red top optima in a summit plastic box for about 3 months now without a problem. the box comes with straps to help mount it securely in the box. i bolted the box to the spare tire well cover and now with the bottle in the back its beginning to sag. i think maybe its time to cut the spare tire well out anyway in favor of sheet metal.
