I've been seeing this many of times lately for the car-puters, nice idea and I am working on mine as we speak, check mini-itx.com for good parts and hardware for building one. But one thing that gets me and almost every person that has done the puter has put in alot of time and work, but fail to hide the wires and etc, 1 thing that would seriously clean up your setup as far as portability, and looks goes would be the idea of mounting a slidepad mouse into the dash or simply a wireless mouse, aswell as a wireless keyboard.. Eliminates wires and accessability.. Just a tip to add and think about. But as far as that great job and glad to see some people finally getting that incorporated into a car in such a way. Instead of a labtop..

Actuaaly they dont straddle the screen, say your left left needs to be more towards the right about 2-3", and thats about it, plus the bar is padded...im 6ft, my friend is 6ft5 and we both fit fine, i designed it about my high with a little extra, and i have no complaints, you just need to be carful when getting in and its fine

BTW, it looks like either my INverter or my relay died, cause it worked last night, but the inverter wont turn on today...need to do some testing...
