Incorrect.

Read Marlon's Statement above again. OBDII started in 1996, which was after the MX-3.

The DOHC came around in 1994-- or 2 years before OBDII. There should theoretically be no MX-3's that are OBDII.

I may be wrong, however.

Spent a couple of hours in the FAQ eh? Took me 1 minute. Next time you "look" actually try watching the screen as you scroll down.

hey d!ck head you are half a year late on your response but thanks for playin. the FAQ on this sight actually is pretty worthless i've had to learn on my own because the FAQ is very lacking and although the engine code explanation which wil finally got put up, while being a great addition and helpful, didn't answer my ?s, so pull your head out of your @ss and try and be helpful to people trying to work on their car.

As to turbo for the dohc we have a great option overlooked cause its not in our freaking FAQ section and i'm sure there is a lot more we don't know yet because we simply don't have it up yet. And no suggestions i've made or others have made seem to change it.

Call me what you like, I don't really care, but don't say that the info wasnt there on your origonal post, because it was. The link I put there was moved to the 4cyl FAQ November 19, 2003. Your topic was created on November 27, 2003 at 8:04 pm.

And Saying it didn't answer your origonal, and 2nd question is BS:
B3: 88-89 carb Festiva models
B3-E: 89-93 EFI Festiva, 94-97 Aspire
B5: 82-84 GLC (might have been fuel injected..i'm not sure)
B6: 88-89 Tracer (some say this is carbed only, but again, i'm not sure, the power rating is 77 instead of 82 like on the 323's)
B6-E: 85-89 323, 90-94 323
B6-ME: 92-93 MX3 RS, 90-94 323 (cali)
B6-DE: 94-96 MX3 RS, 90-94 Capri
B6-ZE: 90-93 Miata
B6-ZET: 87-88 323 GT, 88-89 323 GTX, 90-94 Capri XR2
B8-ME: 90-94 Protege DX
BP-DE: 95-98 Protege ES, 94-97 Sephia
BP-ZE: 90-94 Protege LX, 91-96 Escort GT & LX-E, Mercury Tracer LTS, 94-97 Miata
BP-VE: 99+ Miata
Thus, this statment in both time and informational regaurds is false:
"the FAQ on this sight actually is pretty worthless i've had to learn on my own because the FAQ is very lacking and although the engine code explanation which wil finally got put up, while being a great addition and helpful, didn't answer my ?s"
As for this "sight" not being adequate, "i've" got a recomendation, and "wil" share it with you. "i" suggest you go off and create your own, new and improve "sight" pretaining to everything you need about the mx3. I just have one request, make the title the definition of "sight".

Now, this is the last thing I will say about anything regaurding this topic, and I am sorry to any moderators who may have felt this post was inappropriate.

Thank you,
Frank

B6-ZE... sweet. Must get a nice pop from the 1.6L ZE for a small non-turbo motor. I was just researching the B5ZE 1.5L and if I remember, it was rated around 115-120 Hp, a 10% increase above the I4 DOHC sold in North America.

first: i used the f*cking search didn't answer all of my questions

second: i do my own damn work and i'm used to making my own modifications to a larger degree than mx3 owners have had to considering my other car is a 2nd gen protege that has an aftermarket much much smaller than the mx3 does. Nearly everything on my protege is custom built by MYSELF and my friend erik as it will be with a lot of the stuff on my mx3

last: if you don't wish to offer real assistance then stop flaming people who ask questions and ignore posts you feel ask stupid questions. this is why the original protege club died and a much better one was born, it was because of ignorant and bitter people who didn't want to offer their knowladge to people who are new.

oh and just cause someone asks a question you feel is dumb and should obviously be under the search doesn't mean searching it will bring answers cause i did search it and found nothing especially in the 2nd question concerning miata parts compatability
