A cherry Bomb is a glasspack, it's a brand name is all, very common part. Steel baffle pipe, wrapped in hi-temp fiberglass, inside a canister. Come in different sizes & lengths for just about any use.

A resonator is like a muffler, but larger & is more open inside. it allows the sound waves to spread out & deaden in the open space. The problem with using a stock type resonator is that they usualy have smaller inlet & outlet ports. Basicly you have that big a$$ pipe for nothing if you put one in.

If you want to get it done, just goto any decent exaust shop & tell them you want to add in a glasspack inline to deaden the sound of your car. They'll know what ya need & can do the job in like 20 minutes.
Ya might look at other options for the muffler too. Apexi is OK, but is like the Mr. Gasket Co. of the import world. So-so products that are way overpriced.

Pay more the 1st time to get it done right, or pay several times later on to fix it.
