those pieces are meant to channel airflow threw the engine bay, as well as keeping water/dirt off the engine. you may have a problem with overheating. but you should be ok. that being said id advise against driving it in the winter without the cover, and try and avoid large puddles if possible.

is there a way to modify the cover to fit?

btw those traction bars look awesome!

I lost it when I saw "Chrome hated ghetto cruiser"

I assure you that even with the chrome your car isn't hated or ghetto hahah. With those coil overs, the new traction bars, the MS spoiler and everything. It's a wonderful looking car!

yeah i am going to sit down ALL saturday and figure out how to modify them because the belts and alternator and even my msd coil just look like they all have swim trunks on and are waiting in line for the diving board and that is scary

So i have the corksport type I bar installed and i am happy with how it looks...it took me ALL day because my battery powered dremel only last like 5 minutes after an hour or two charge  and i had to make the holes i cut before bigger so the bar would fit

Old Fleabay strut bar (top) VS corksport bar (bottom)

then while my POS battery powered dremel was charging i was bored and had extra paint so i decided to sand and paint my shockingly rusty seat belt brackets

All put together
