I was woken up today by...THE FEDEX GUY! The seats are actually a tad bit skinner than the OEM so getting the bolts to line up with the hole in the floor was quite a hassle. I only had time to do the driver side before I had to go to work thought. Tomorrow I will take pictures of the steps for when i do the passenger side.

I used the factory rails for them. I had to drill holes about 1cm from the old ones , than had to cut off the metal side thing that the old female seat belt mounted to with the one bolt in order for the seat to nicely sit over the rails.

Here is the only photo I was able to take.(thanks gf) :P. Took it as I was getting ready to mount it in. I will have my camera tomorrow.

Thanks guys! I will post more pics tomorrow :] .

Yea I would advise to stay away from that company , service sucked , support sucked, and the seats i actually ordered had "Bomz Racing" stitched into the headrest. I think I like them better without the stitching so that ended up OK.

what i ordered \/

Anyway , I got seats and I'm pretty happy with them.

Drilled and started the passenger side rails.

The new holes for the back of the rails.

-the side closest to the center console-
You can see where i started cutting , but It got to cold outside so that will be for tomorrow.

-the other rail-

ALSO , while waiting for my seats I kept myself entertained by painting my mini chopper to match my car.

Got my seats finished today. Here u can see how i mounted the seatbelt brackets. also the worst excuse for a /reclineible/ seat.

the front brackets

One real issue I had was the final bolt... the rail was aboud a inch out of place.

How we managed to fix them....

Those seats actually look pretty nice and I'm surprised you were able to use the stock rails. Does the big dial slowly recline? Is there a release to let the whole top lean forward so you can get in the back?

Also are you planning on running those little 4 point harnesses? Based on my research I would not recommend that for daily driving from a safety standpoint... There was a thread we were talking about this not too long ago.

There is no release switch to quickly pop them forward , and the dial thing , the top slowly moves as u turn it , I would guess its about 4-5 complete turn cycles to make the chair go from where it is , to all the way forward. HOPEFULLY the dial will get broken in and be easier to turn later on , at the moment its not something you can do in seconds. Also i forgot to take a pic but the seats sit about a inch to high. When they are straight up , they rub the frame of the door seal.

Yes I did plan on using them for DD. What are you saying is not that safe about them? the belts in general , or how I have them mounted?

Also I need some help with my tail lights. My running lights are the center clear bulbs instead of the red outer ones. Any idea as to what the problem is? Also my bulbs are in correctly :P

I doubt the dial will "break in". I have the same dial on my MS seats and it's just the way they are designed (15 year old seats still take just as long to adjust).

As far as the harnesses you should read through this thread (and some of the subsequent links in the thread). Those harnesses are NOT inertia belts so unless they are properly installed they could actually hurt (or kill) you in a wreck. Also without a 5th point you could slide out from underneath and strangle yourself. http://www.mx-3.com/phpBB3//viewtopic.php?f=17&t=79022

Are you sure you didn't put the harness in the wrong slots in the taill light? maybe you put the reverse in the running light spot? you could do a test and turn on your hazards, then put the key in the acc. position and put the car in reverse and the backup lights will come on... see where those light up and it might tell you what happened.

sucks about the dial situation :/ and extra sucks about the seat belt setup. Thanks for the info though I really appreciate it. I would like to do it safely but also don't want to lose the usability of the back seats. As for the lights , ill do some testing tomorrow. I did try to take my tails off before but they wouldn't budge so i moved onto other task.

So Mooneggs , I did what ya said , lights are defiantly in the right spot. Took the reverse switch out of the trans , and sure enough , when i unplugged it , the lights went off. Should have the part replaced tomorrow some time.
