the sound quailty is much better, but I find the performance difference massive. I had upgraded the exhaust to 2inch several years ago, and now to 2.5 all the way back. The difference in spool up is crazy. Boost hits early. I love it.

what a great mx-3. Jealous of these nicely styled CF hoods.

That is one bad a-- front end!
1) with the mazda speed front bumper ...open to the yawning chrome intercooler
2) the inverted scoop carbon fiber hood... With Proper Hood Latches I May Add
3) and the blacked out projector lights

Dude that is a very badass, very agressive looking front end! Cheers to you doing it right :)

Thanx guys. I am loving the look so far. And the hood is working well, all that heat finally has a place to go. Some custom mods coming soon.

Picked up some used parts last week. Minis sides and a raised spoiler.

I have a bit of an issue with the spoiler. The upper portion will not come off. I don't know what I should do... Leave it black and hope it looks ok with the carbon hood kinda theme, or paint it all to match. I was hoping to have the garnish black and the upper to match the car. I think it really pops like that. Any thoughts?

man that's messed up, mine was just held in by 2 10mm bolts on each side.

i also really like the garnish black and the top painted to match
can't you just mask the garnish off and paint it?

I can mask it. I was just worried about getting proper coverage on the underside of the spoiler.

if in the end you can't get them apart, you could just destroy the garnish and get it off, i think i have my old garnish in my garage.
if you like that idea i'll let you know if i have it when i get back to calgary, i think i still have your number
