GB thread is posted here.

I find the GB forum a little cumbersome as none of you can post there. Please feel free to ask any questions or give any comments or suggestions you may have.

Just a thought...you might not like it...but some of you might.

If we forego the Sway bar bushings all together I could take $65 off the price. Energy Suspensions makes a universal sway bar bushing that will work, although some work would have to be done to attach their bracket to the chassis. Also, new factory bushings would probably be quite inexpensive and good for most applications. For those who do want a poly sway bar bushing the ES ones are about $50 for all 4.

Just a thought I had today.

What work needs to be done to attach their bracket to the cars? I'd rather spend the $65 and have everything work perfectly than save $15 and have to do 4 hours extra worth of work. If its really simple though, some people might prefer to save the money.

The ES bracket has two bolts, the stock brackets have a tab on one side and a bolt on the other. I am not sure how difficult it would be to drill and tap for a second bolt. The rear wouldn't be bad, but the front might be.

I'm just thinking out loud. I don't think it's necessarily the right way to go.

being fairly ignorant to the suspension and benifits of your kit.. I'm not too sure what I do whant and what I don't. Jesse is a big supporter for performance bushings and I am very keen. Is there going to be any (vary basic) directions for those who are "challenged" when it comes to bushings?

I have never attempted anything like this, but I try to go into it with an open mind. All the bushings (well save a few) are 2 part bushings, so they can easily be installed by just about anyone. I'd imagine taking the stuff apart would be harder than putting it back together (since everything is rusty)

Maybe someone could do a writeup?

I have dismantled my parts car and I'm having the rear subframe and Trailling Arms and front Lower Control Arms reconditioned. As well I have purchased new Lateral Links, Hubs and Rear Spindles. I will do a very thorough write up on disassembly and removal of the stock bushings as well as the installation of the new parts.

Onlytrueromeo is correct. The installation is MUCH easier than the disassembly. I won't lie to you...it's a whoooore (pr. Who-er).

I'm starting to worry. There was a lot of interest, and now nothing. Nobody's talking or asking any questions. Has this thing lost it's legs or what?

The only thing holding me back from joining the group buy is my lack of experience with replacing bushings, If there's a write-up I'd be down for a set...

Last week I was annoyed with one of the vendors in Calgary so I sent a quote request to have the poly poured by a company closer to me. This morning they called saying that they would like to quote me for the molds and the parts. If the pricing is similar it would be very handy to have the same shop do all the work. Plus this place is a 10 minute drive from my office.

I'm going on a little vacation next week and I'll be back on the 18th. By that time this other company should have something for me that could even reduce the price of the packages. I have also arranged to get a tour of their facility to see examples of their other work and to see their processes.

He gave me a sense that it would not be very expensive. I guess it depends what his definition of expensive is, but I think it could bring the price down. It doesn't seem like waiting a couple of weeks is goingto be a big problem for anyone.

So hold off on your deposits for now until I see what they have to offer.
