I bought mine with 120000 km's on it and now it has 168000 km's.
Only thing i had to replace was the alternator but it was 10 years old, my cars a 1992, also had to change my battery at that time. :)
Aside from that i changed the exaust line because it was rusted and i had to change a light bulb because it broke.
The rest is just normal stuff, changing the oil, oil filter, transmission oil, air filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, brakes, calipers, discs and so on.
And this only when needed of course.

filter i got one aftermarket intake for like 25 bucks designed for civic but works for my mx, and its usually can be washed from dirt and stuff, oil i recommend getting a good brand, either use newer type of oil that came out designed for engines after 75k miles, quiets ur HLA noise, but on my mx i use synthetic only, lasts a lot and protects way better esp at racing.

dont listen to the rumours from everyone about this car, when i thought about buying my car before, everyone told me it was a piece of garbage and not to because it will cost too much to fix all the time, and so i didnt then about a month later, out of love for the car i said forget them and bought it anyways and it turned out to be a great car, the only problems i have had is a common prob with the mx and thats that damn fan belt  lol go for it bud
peace

You mean the alt belt or the ps belt. Alot of people have been having a problem with this. Its all about proper tension. Oh yea...I have 111500 miles on my mx with no major issues other than axle shafts (common on FWD) and I replaced the alternator once.
