MX-3 vs. Neon

Post by gmuffb »

Ok, this happened yesterday and made me laugh: I just got back from an errand, got out of my car at work and the pizza boy(pb) pulls up to deliver some food to my coworkers. He gets out of his car and says:
pb-That's your car I thought you drove a talon.
me-Nope, mazda.
pb-mazda's are pieces of sh!t.
me-why do you say that
pb-cause they weigh 600 lbs more
me-so that makes them a bad car?
pb-yea they're slow
me-wait a minute, you have no credibility, you drive a neon
pb-yea well it could beat your mazda any day
me-ok how about today, let's go to the track.
pb-well...well...my trans is messed up
me-ok, when you get it fixed let's go.
pb-that won't be done for like 3 years
me-how much will it cost?
pb-$800, but you know a neon is faster than most cars out there
me-how's that
pb-you can get a stage two turbo for three grand
me-you can't afford to get your trans fixed, how are you gonna afford a turbo.
pb-they're still faster than your car, besides my car has 112k miles and it's still a good car, it does need a new trans and some motor work but...
me-you proved my point for me, my car has 127k on it and it's running strong, i really don't want to listen to you talk about how fast your car is if you're to pu$$y to race it.
pb-well i can't race it, it's falling apart.
me-didn't you just say neon's were better than mazda's
pb-yea but neons fall apart, but it's an american car so i can just buy another one cheap.
me-and that's what makes it better?
pb-yea
me-ok, well you let me know when you buy a new neon cause your other one fell apart, i'll still be in the mazda ready to go to the track, and don't tell me how mazda's are sh!ty when you've never even driven one.
No offense, but i hate it when guys think and talk like they know more about cars than they do. This guy was just a dummy!

funny thing is, he can spend 12K on a new neon, and I can spend 1000 on a used GS an STILL beat him @ the track. Sad ist it?

the best thing is when I have my corvette and I pull up next to a little hooked up civic, cavalier, or neon, and rev it up and watch their glass shake and then they still wanna race, lol. So yah rev it up nice and high, and then they peel out at the light while you just continue on with whatever you were doing before silently giggling.

neons arent fast that much. theyre made cheaper than civic and break easier than civic, cause thers lots of them many companies make all parts u want for it, body kits, turbos, cf hoods, intakes, etc...
never say someones car sucks and ud beat him before u research car, many hondas say s*** to me about my car, after that i beat em and then I say s*** about their cars

i gave ride to charger guy, likes those mopars so much, talks about them whole time at work. i scared him how fast it was. year back this integra guy was checking out engine and was amazed at my 1.8L being V6 and having 4 camshafts.
by the way neon could take rs with its SOHC power 130hp and dohc 140, i am not sure about new ones 2001-2003RT ones, they might have more power

Funny fact, all those neon and probe drivers think american cars are the bomb take a peep at this.....Neons and Probes are none other than ricers, look up the serial numbers for the engines, and it will trace back to a mazda engine....hmmmm.....interesting isn't it

Im sorry, but neons are the biggest heaps of crap out there (no offence to anyone that actually drives one, lol) they break all the time, so theyre super unreliable, and theyre slow as hell. i mean my buddy with his 89 accord beat one! and that thing is sllllllloooooooooooowww lol. anyway just my 2cents, dont buy one, bad for your health! :D lates
[ March 24, 2003: Message edited by: thebonestockkid ]

thats right, neons DONT have mazda engines. they use DSM similar motors and sorry but probes are great cars and not ricers, ricers are dudes that make them Rice ride type R (rice) and drive em. where u get some of your Kl engines from if you go to salvage yard? ----------->>>> Probes

i would have to say, any car made in japan or china is considered a ricer, hey guess what i also own a mx-3, along with a nissan, i happen to love them, forgien cars are the best, and yes the ford probes are the same engine as a mazda, and why do you think that you rarely see a neon in the shop to get the engine fixed? because they are a darivitive of a import engine, could it be that the domestic car builders are learning something that the foreign car makers have known for a while? could be, and yes probes are nice cars, i've driven a probe gt and loved the ride. but i would take a "ricer" any day. and type r doesn't mean "rice" it is a symbol showing it is designed for racing means no cool stuff like power anything all all manual, so that the car would be the lightest possible with a bit of a bigger engine, now if you don't beleive me, don't knock me look it up, yes there are some retards who in fact put a type r sticker on their car thinking it's cool or something, and that is where we come in and show them that it wasn't a true type r.

Cheaply made or not that new neon r/t is fast as hell, all other neons are junk in my opinion.
