So im watching the 2004 SCCA National Championship Runoffs (rerun) on speed tv and they are scrolling the driver names and cars - RX-7, Celica....and then MX-3.. 'what?' i think, cool :2thumbsup: . So I look it up and find under the GT3 section: GT3 #03 Robert Weaver - Oklahoma City,OK - Mazda Mx3 !!

Start pos-20, Finish pos-18 . Mazda MX-3 Laps:19/20 Lap time:1:40.072

I wonder if he or any of his crew have ever checked out the site... what Mx owner wouldn't?
That would be pretty tight to have a GT driver/crew member posting.

Thats so sweet...GO ROB GO!!! I love how in the first link under make, his car is simply called "Mazda" lol

I didn't get to see it, they focused on the lead cars. But it's still cool!

theres a probe in there too, thats just cool. thanks for showing us that.
92' mx-3 gsr, built engine, forged internals, p/p ze heads. t3/t4e .63/.60 turbo, udp, msd ignition, millenia s injectors, millenia im, water cooled intercooler, afpr, fmu. running at 7 psi right now

id like to go and try it, but im scarred my MX would be put into the catagorys with like 600 HP Vettes cause i have swaped the motor to something bigger

The guy that I bought my car off of raced it in the all stock series. He said the MX-3 handles exceptionally well. He even left the SCCA sticker on the front of my car for me :D
No more MX-3.

You wouldn't. A 600 HP vette would be in a category over your car for sure. You'd possibly be in there with a stock vette though.

Yeah, we met a guy running a MX-3 about a month ago at a SCCA race at Road Atlanta. However, it is a MX-3 roof only to comply with the rules. Full tube frame and uses a GLC motor (RWD 4 banger). Came in first though. He said he always like the MX-3 body, but needed a competition motor and the B6 and K8 just didn't make the grade.

I am a member of SCCA and my brother raced my car the other event we have and he got second over all. He was first for some time.
