after reading ALL of the posts a couple of times it's a little difficult to agree with you. Getting 4 tickets in a month and being pulled over by the SAME cop in less than a week sounds more like harrassment than just a cop doing his job. Around here you have 15 days to reply to the ticket...guilty/not guilty. He hasn't even been given the time to comply with the 1st ticket.
No one has flown off the handle (well except mitmaks) in this thread at all. When I say question the officer I don't mean argue rant and rave...nor was that EVER implied. Nor does it seem like anyone is whining. If you were in Steves shoes wouldn't you be a little upset that you keep getting stopped? I would. I have a loud street car and it's pretty flashy...but I'm not getting pulled over. Niether do most of us. Which is why it "seems" like Steve is targeted in this case. One guy get's 4-5 tickets in a month while the rest of us just keep motoring? Doesn't add up to me. Steve and I don't live too far from each other and anytime I've been in his area there's hardly a cop to be seen. This sounds like a case of streetcar predjudice. Because I sure am not getting stopped, and no one else in my group of car buddies is either except for Steve. Of course I'm in Ont and he's in Que. but still 4-5 tickets so close together is rediculous.

I am wit cris on this one. "The fake and I'm furious"1
is what probably influenced most of you young guys to make your car rice. I have been in the game for 10 years now and I remember when I had my 1991 rx-7 turbo with dual 3inch exhaust and I never once got pulled over. This is because my car looked mostly stock on the outside. Let me tell ya that it sounded like a big block V8 and would shake any car I flew by.
The fact of the matter is that if you rice out your car and cause attention to it then expect the pigs attention as well. Buddy you have a baby blue car, no matter what car that is the colour is very noticed as you probably wanted to begin with.
This is why most street racers drive stock looking
cars with tripped out motors to avoid unneccisary attention. I agree it is unfair but you are a target in a market that the gov't makes money off.
you don't see the pigs given out tickets to harleys for there mufflers. If you guys have been
in the game for a while then you'd know that the fake and Im furious is what glamorized something that didn't need to be glamorized and if you want anyone to blame, blame the movie that made rice trendy.

well....I am 27 so as far as "ricers" go I'm old, but my car isn't rice (I got show AND go), and I've been in the game for a little while too....could be why I'm not getting pulled over and he is. BUG$Y I feel what you're saying but you've lumped us all just like that cop is.
Assuming it's okay for him to be repeatedly pulled over because the colour of his car makes him look suspect is like saying all black guys are bike thieves so all black guys should be given citations because they "might" be stealing bikes, or whatever. It's a predjudice. And it's harrassment.
[ August 13, 2003: Message edited by: Darren Hyderman ]

well i get pulled over all the time for my system...they instituted a new law that if a cop can hear ur music 5 cars lengths away it is too loud and u get a ticket but so far all i got was "turn it down from now on" i tell ya i bought my system when it wasnt illegal to have it blaring durin the day ( i understand at night cuz i hate when peoples systems wake me up in the middle of the night) so i will play it until i see a check that reimbustes me for the two 15"s in my car until then CRANK IT UP!!!

i know its a lil off topic but im just tryin to prove thatthe crack downs on imports is world wide and that i agree keepin your car stock lookin and silenced is the best way to avoid their attention even if your car is the fastest around...they are even tryin to institute a law that cars front andback bumpers cannot exceed 2 inches beyond the stock one but if i get one molded to it and have a receipt before the day of the law passin i guess ill be alright
