wont go on!

Post by bigluke »

when i bought my mx3 the front left tire was on but one of the lugs was not on. The lady said that she dint know but that there was some more lugs in the side pocket, so i dint think much of it. I came home and ive been trying to put it on ever since i think the part the lug goes on is stripped or broken :( what do i do? how would i fix that? what would i have to replace, and how much? Then again im thinking i could strip the inside of one of the lugs put a drop of glue on it and leave it, no one will know the difference and when i need to get it off ill just take it to a show and the force of the air-impact should rip the glue(i hope) what do u think?
Dont let anyone tell u u cant run subs off of your head unit,(temporarily that is) all u need is a big box :) <p>-Luke

All i can say is get it fixed properly and dont glue on a lug nut! You dont want your wheel flying off on the highway. Its a long shot but its still better to get it fixed!

Cars drive all of the time with 3 lugnuts. Doesnt mean i recommend it, but it happens. Take it to a machine shop and have them clean the threads on the stud, or if they are REALLY bad, have them rethread it.

prices drastically vary with machine shops. There is one in my town that does work that is "good enough" and charge very little. Then there is one that does work that is amazing  but they also charge an arm and a leg, lol.
