Hey I'm thinking about getting a rebiult engine for my '95 mx-3? Is there any web sites where I can get a new 1.6l dohc at a decent price? Because after all, its not like it's a big deal engine anyway. And I don't see myself paying over $1,500 for one. Also check this guy out!
Eugene's Mazda on the cardomain. Its a prime example of what I'm looking for. Maybe not with all the expensive internals, but I like how clean it is.
thanks

I would say get the 1.8 BP. That would be your best bet. Dont go with the 1.6 it will cost around the same for the BP.
Re: Need new engine.
I just bought a low mileage 1.6L replacement engine for my 93 for $400.
Then again this is only my daily driver, don't really care about going fast. I do that on my CBR.

yes i would like the bp engine but I have the dohc 1.6l and swaping the bp into it would cost me alot of time and money. Its not just a direct swap like it is in the sohc. That why I would wrather just have a rebiult engine with mild internal upgrades. So do you know of any web sites? Where did you say you got yours for 400.?

I have a local Japanese Engin Dist here in Fresno, Ca. He said he has four, well....now three, and is selling them for $395 plus a $200 core.
