ok, can someone answer this question for me, im guessing that since u have to use the maf sensor off the intake box with a intake u put on, that u cant just buy any intake... could someone tell me intakes they have bought/used so i know what i can use? and also, how did u use the intake and also include the maf sensor in the intake so the car actually runs...
also, im assuming the silver box on top of the intake box that comes stock with the car is the maf sensor... how in the world can u use an intake with this? most cars dont make this a part of the intake so im really confused...

Re: intakes for the car
I used one for a new Protege5.
You can get them on ebay that are made for the MX-3 though now.
Here is a pic of it on my old 1.6L SOHC:

And the same one on my newly swapped BP:

If you dont want a whole intake tube, you can get an adaptor to fit on the stock air-flow meter as I did when I started:

( I got it from Corksport... Its an HKS model.... but you can get these on Ebay now too for next to nothing, and they come with an air filter.)
Good luck!

Re: intakes for the car
What about the DOHC models?
I currently have a DOHC model with a stock box and genuine mazda air filter...
I'd like to add some kind of intake system (Preferable CAI). But im not entirely sure how.
I've heard about using a DelSol intake system and modifying it to work for our cars, but again, im unsure about this.
Thanks for any information you can supply!
