Engine not starting!

Post by gravbot »

Hey, all, just done the swap to BPT but i have incounter problems. The engine won't start for some reasons. The starter works cause the engine is turning over but it will not fire. Just wondering, normally when u turn the key on you can hear the fuel pump buzzing and now it makes no noise. I suspect the fuel pump is not working. Do you have to changed any wire with the conversion? and does the mx-3 fuel pump able to supposrt the bpt?

what kind of engine management are you running? if you aren't using the OEM ECU then your fuel pump won't work. and no the mx-3 fuel pump doesn't have the capacity to handle the bpt. i used this pump, pretty much a direct swap. part #FPM204.

you will still need to buy the seal for the tank for an mx-3 though.

it would at least be able to start the car. since you used the bpt ecu, check the pump for power.
