Fuel Injectors??

Post by manowar821 »

I was looking at the products on. http://www.racingmazda.com/
They have for the mazda MX-3 two types of Fuel Injectors available, Peak & Hold Injectors and Saturated Injectors.
What is the difference?

saturated is high impedance (resistance), and p/h injectors are low impedance. MOST cars use saturated injectors, while a few turbo model cars use p/h. basicly, whatever type your car is setup for is what you should use. this can be determined by taking a resistance reading of the injector. generally, a saturated injector is about 12-16ohms.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

You will need a stand alone unit to use peak and hold on an mx-3

why would you even want bigger injectors? i dont know what kind mods you have but your sig only says a custom intake. injectors alone wont give you any increase in performance. im using a tecIII unit which cost $2500 for a bare unit. you can order one from racing mazda.

agreed, unless you're getting a highly increased amount of air into the engine, as well as out, you have no need for bigger injectors, of either type. extensive internal work and/or a turbo or s/c setup would warrant a bigger injector. I was using a Haltech E6K, now E6X, and was a good option over the higher priced TEC setups.
