can i use the probe 2.2 turbo mtr

Not worth it. Would be about the same dificaulty level as swapping ford 5.0..

5.0 mx-3??? good idea! or maybe a 400 big block. actually the probes were made by mazda (sure you know this) for ford so there will be many similarities between the probe and the mx3 under the hood anyway. as for a swap thats alot of work. its not a bad idea though

For the price of what custom fabrications one would need you could get a better output for a more reasonable price by swaping in a BPT.

would the 2.0 mtrs in the mx-5's and other models be good to swap are just stick to the bpt.

The F series 2.0's are not really worth messing with. I would suggest sticking with the more forgiving B.
