Replacing engines for newbies..

Post by SpaceWiz »

Hi, just wanted to ask here what you people think.
I have to replace my current engine since it's bascially dead, i got one that's exactly the same as the one i have, this leads me to believe i should be able to change it myself, but since i'm not experienced with car engines im not 100% sure. The one and only thing i have ever done in a car engine is replace the startengine with some guidance. So should i be able to do it? I mean it's exactly the same so i should just have to keep some notes on what wires and stuff goes where and i should be fine?

Splice wires for an engine that is exactly the same? Seems odd. :werd:

if you want to make it really easy for yourself, put a piece of masking tape on every wire you take off and write down what it is for on the tape.
