i'm try'n to take my guage cluster out and i can't seem to pull it out, like somthing is holding it in ??? :crying: i un screw qall the screws pull and nothing so if any one can help me please help !!!!!! thanxs !! :2thumbsup:

did you unhook the speedo cable from teh back of it
93 MX-3 GS (collecting parts for Eunos Presso conversion), 94 626 Transmission (4.10 gears), KL31 camed KL-ZE, Millenia intake, Millenia TB, SSAutochrome V2 headers, Magnaflow cat, 2 1/4 in pipe, Top Speed Pro 1 muffler, 9lb Fidanza Flywheel, ACT clutch, Corksport SS clutch line, Corksport SS brake lines, Unorthadox UDP, 255 lph fuel pump, HEI mod, ghetto-charger intake, KL36 ECU, SRD transverse crossmember bushings, SRD shifter extention bushing, SRD crossmember, Corksport bronzoil shifter bushings, Brembo Crossdrilled and Slotted rotors, 15 inch Konig Heliums, ZX-2 S/R struts, Eibach lowering springs, OEM front strut bar, Ebay rear strut bar, BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDWs

Parts needing installed: turbo kit from BB (if i ever get it), 9.0:1 CR Diamond pistons, 4340 forged H beam rods, C/J-Spec spoiler, Nissan red tops in KL rails

Thats exactly whats holding it. Reach your hand up directly behind the speedo and you will feel the cable.

What model do you have? the SOHC or the DOHC?

If you have the SOHC, its a cable speedometer and you must unhook it at the tranny.

You will need a friend to help you out in order to unhook it unless you know exactly where it enters the tranny. Have your friend sit inside the car and tug gently on the cluster while you are looking in the engine bay at the firewall to see where its coming out at. Follow that wire down to the tranny and I think it just pulls out. I cant remember exactly what holds the cable in the tranny.

If you have the DOHC, its electronic and can be unhooked at the cluster.

If your screen name is right, then you have a 1992, which means you have the SOHC, and therefore, a cable speedometer. :welder:

Yeah I have a 93 and I unhook it from under the dash too. Its not that hard to get to. Come on Perry I thought you knew better.
