BPD swap...Almost there!

Post by dreamsforgotten »

With the help of this message board (the archives) I have swapped the BPD (91 escort GT) into the MX 3 because I am planning on a turbo project later...much later. There is a huge problem at this point that I cannot seem to fix. The vacuum schematics. I cannot find information on them anywhere even on past post on the MX3 board. Anyone have a picture of this engine (close up on the intake manifold) or a manual page with the vacuum line schematics? My car runs like ****, it has no pick up, idles higher than normal (I think the TPS sensor is the reason for that) I need to adjust my timing. The throttle response is horrible. It all points to vacuum leak but I don't know how it is supposed to be arranged. Sorry I had to post this long question that is a pain to deal with but you guys are once again my last hope to doing this project by myself. Thank you.

One last thing I forgot. I had to pull the CV shafts, (used the same tranny from the mx) and the oil leaked out. Where do you add oil to the mx tranny?

For a MTX you add it by removing the speedometer sensor. Might want to invest in a chiltons to get that vasccum diagram.
